Teal and Orange
I’m back.
Finally.
Goodbye shivering. Hello warm moisture.
Now, how long has it been? I last complained extensively about things, as I always do. But not today. I’m home. After getting frisked at the airport, holding my pee in for eight hours… It’s all pretty surreal.
I’ve been using that word a lot lately. Over the last few weeks, I have experienced freedom and independence like never before. Granted, I was technically using my parents’ money… but that’s a minor detail. I had such a good time in Melbourne, and had been enjoying the ability to make decisions without parental supervision so much that the day I flew home was simultaneously exhilarating and depressing. I’m glad to be back, but there are some things that I wish I didn’t have to leave behind.
On the whole, I don’t have much to say about Australia. Not any more than what I’ve already covered. It’s a nice place… if you can handle the technological inferiority. The expensive food. The cold. The crazy people on the bus. I’m just going to stop thinking about that. I don’t need to remember the bad stuff. That’s what psychiatrists’ couches are for.
So, now that I’m back in Singapore, I have things to do. Watch Inception. Get Starcraft II and play enough so that I won’t get my ass handed to me by everyone who got the game while I was under the world. Basically, I need to enjoy this holiday. This last actual break while I’m still a polytechnic student.
Probably will not want to leave the country for a long time.
