Atrophy

Well. It’s certainly been a while. I have been doing my final year project for the past four weeks. No, wait, that’s inaccurate. I only actually began two weeks ago. This is thanks to my project having to be (as always) different.

Sure, it was great when I learned that I would be doing something fancy with potentially deadly viruses. It was great when I actually went to NUS to pick up a flask of the cells that I would be using. But now, it doesn’t feel so great. Two batches of experiments per week, one batch lost thanks to Good Friday(which is really not a good Friday at all)… and also I think I screwed something up on the most recent one.

I have one more week to complete the preliminary part of the project. Then, I have three weeks to get usable data. After which, I have to figure out what font looks good on a poster.

At the end of it all, they may not even like it.

That would probably kill the forward-looking, ambitious part of me.

On the bright side, I guess, I’m not ill any more. There’s a strange pleasure in not feeling like you’re about to mutate into horrific, slime-spewing abomination at any moment. Fevers really mess with the brain.

Anyway.

In other news, there has been this huge debacle involving the catholic church and sexual abuse. Wait- that isn’t news. Check this out :http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catholic_sex_abuse_cases

Their page is longer than the biography of Superman.
